This was my first story I ever wrote and isn't all that great. I'm currently working on a new version, one which will be better. But please read this one. The idea is good.

     It was a usual day in the biological engineering lab attached to the mens complex. The lab was very busy with male scientists. The glass doors to the cupboards were all clear and you could see the contents of the cupboards, and the lights were a bright, fluorescent colour. There were three long counters in the middle with a sink on the end of each side. Standing at the sink of the counter in the middle, washing his hands, was Shaw Codfield, a tall man with short brown hair, blue eyes, no facial hair and looked to be in his thirties. As he finished washing his hands, his boss Mr. Stratford, a tall dark man with short black hair, approached Shaw and said, "Shaw, I got a job for you. In the women's complex, there's an android malfunctioning and their engineers can't figure it out. It was built here, so I'd like to send you in to fix the problem." Shaw thought a minute and then replied, "Will anyone be with me?" "No" answered Mr. Stratford and he gave Shaw a pass card and escorted Shaw to the turbolift and said "Good luck." It took no time to reach the women's complex. As the turbolift doors opened, two female security guards wearing helmets and the standard black uniform, asked Shaw for his pass card. He handed them the card and they ran it through the security pad they carried. "He's OK. Follow me please," said the one security guard. She lead him to an electric cart and brought him to the engineering section where the android was located. As he walked up to the door a red beam scaned him to detect any weapons. When the automatic door opened, he seen the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She was tall, with long brown hair, a slender body and looked to be in her early thirties. As he looked at her he felt something he never felt before. "Miss. Evans, here's the man they sent for the android" said the security guard. The woman turned around and motioned him over to the android. "Here's the android. We've looked at the mechanical stuff but we didn't find anything. We figure it's its programming" she said. "Do you have a magatron, and a computer pad I can use?" asked Shaw. "Sure." He used the megatron, a small handheld tool, to open the android's head and connected it to the computer pad.

     A few hours had passed and Shaw and Miss. Evans were sitting in an office eating. "What's your name?" she asked. "Shaw Codfield." "I'm Elizabeth Evans." While Shaw was eating, he kept thinking of her. He didn't realize, but he kept staring at her. As she got up to leave, she handed him an isolinear chip and said "Until tomorrow" and she left the room. "Guard, you can take me back to the mens complex. Please" he said. "The turbolift is damaged. You have been given permission to stay here tonight. I will take you to the males guest quarters." When they arrived at the quarters, the guard left. Inside, Shaw slipped the isolinear chip into his computer pad. On it was an address and map to Elizabeth's quarters. He switched it off and went outside and walked to a turbolift which brought him to Elizabeth's. "Come in" she said. "I have something to say. I know its not right for a male and female to be close but I have these feelings for you." He thought a minute and replied, "I feel the same way." "I was looking through some of my mothers stuff. This box is full of things they called paper. One of the papers was this," and she handed him a marriage certificate. "What does this mean?" "It means that she and a male once lived together." "She never talked about it?" "No." He was stunned. From his understanding, males and females never lived together since the war of 2015. According to history books, for 2000 years men and women didn't get along and there was high crime and confusion. For 35 years, they lived in peace and harmony, separated. "What do you plan on doing?" he asked. "Well, we have these feelings toward each other. Maybe we can live with each other." "That's not allowed. But we could make arrangements to see one another." "Alright. Oh look. I think you better get back to your quarters before someone finds you here." "Your right. Until tomorrow?" "Until tomorrow." As he walked out the door, two security androids grabbed him and her. "You are under arrest," they said and took Elizabeth in one direction and Shaw the other way. Day's passed and Shaw had been sentence to rehabilitation and community service down in the incinerator chamber underneath the complex. As part of his rehabilitation, he was taken to the central hall in the women's complex where he would get a beaten by women. The central hall was a place where there were stores and trees and where women would go and talk. When the beaten's were over, he was taken back to his quarters in the mens complex. "Where's Elizabeth?" he asked one of the guards. "She's been taken to the death chamber to be executed" replied the security android.

     That night Shaw decided he wanted to know more about males and females living together. He got one of his computer pads he kept hidden and was able to access the security androids posatronic brain and programmed it to shut down. He took its disruptor gun and the drive card to its electric cart and drove to the government station. It was about 12:00 am and nobody would be there. He went up to the door and used his computer pad to tell the doors to open. He walked inside and went up to the top in the turbolift. When he reached the top he went inside a room where one of the mainframe computers were located. Unfortunately there was a security forcefield around it. He attached his computer to the security outlet and was able to shut down the forcefeild. He was able to tap into the mainframe and started downloading certain files. One file he came across explained that after the war of 2015, the worlds population was down to about one billion and that the male population was almost nothing. Another file explained that women overthrew the government and they separated the sexes so that they could keep control of the males. After he finished he went to another room and was able to tap into the communications system and he started broadcasting the information he found. As the information poured out the comm system, men started gathering in the central hall of the mens complex and together they started protesting. They were able to block the turbolift doors so that the security androids wouldn't get in. Shaw was able to escape to the central hall and showed the men the information on his computer. Back in his lab, the engineers were able to program the androids they had to counter attack the security androids.

     Hours passed and Shaw was back in his quarters listening to classical music and playing along on an ancient grand piano and then for no reason he started feeling tired. "Computer, music off and lights off." He walked over to his bed and laid down and went to sleep. He started to dream...

     ...the government had stopped the rebellion and they had him in the death chamber. The death chamber was dark and dirty. You couldn't see because of the darkness and it smelled like death. They sat him down in an table. He heard a hum and seen a flash over his body. He started feeling his ribs start to get crushed in. He screamed...

     ...AHHHHHH! He sat up in bed. "Computer, lights" no response. He heard a female voice say "Computer, lights" and there standing in front of him was Elizabeth with a disruptor. "Eliza..." he sees a flash, and then darkness.
